The Wine Route

Abbey of Sant'Eustachio

The Bedin winery is located along the “Montello and Colli Asolani wine route”: an itinerary, created in 2007, that connects Asolo to Nervesa della Battaglia guiding its visitors past Venetian villas, ancient mansions, historical and artistic attractions, endless rows of vineyards scattered through the hills of the DOCG “Asolo Prosecco” area.

The wine road follows the river Piave, the sacred river of our homeland, and runs across the lands of Caterina Cornaro queen of Cyprus, Eleonora Duse, the great sculptor Antonio Canova and the famous architects Palladio and Veronese… Along this charming, evocative itinerary of nature and culture, the wineries of the “Colli Asolani” stand out not only as witnesses of the excellences of a rich and multifaceted territory but also as tourist attractions for wine and food enthusiasts.

The mild climate, the peculiar soil texture and the fertility of this land allowed grape varieties such as Prosecco, Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris to make inroads over the years. The great potential of the Colli Asolani for the production of superior sparkling Prosecco goes along with that of the Montello for the production of excellent, full-bodied red wines. These products, that share the same roots while being completely different, find their ideal match in the dishes of the local traditional cuisine that can be enjoyed in the many restaurants and farmhouses located along the route.

The family-run company “Azienda Agricola Colli Asolani”, with its winery and agriturismo, offers to its visitors the chance to savour the local culinary specialties, taste the wines and learn the secrets of winemaking: an art and a passion that is deeply rooted in the history and culture of this land.
